Dynamics CRM On-Premise - An illustrative guide on step-by-step installation and configuration process - Part II

In the continuation of my earlier blog article “Dynamics CRM On-Premise - An illustrative guide on step-by-step installation and configuration process”, the next step is to install the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 Reporting Extensions. The following steps we have to follow in order to install the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 Reporting Extensions:

  1. 1. Run the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Reporting Extensions Setup as an Administrator.
  2. 2. Welcome to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 Reporting Extension setup page appear, it is recommended that you click on “Get updates for Microsoft Dynamics CRM” and click on Next (refer Fig. 1: Welcome screen).

  6. 3. It checks for the latest update and if there is no update is needed, you can proceed with the setup by clicking on Next.
  7. 4. The next step is to review the license information and if you accept the license agreement, check “I accept this license agreement” and click on “I Accept” to proceed further (refer Fig. 2: License Agreement screen).

  11. 5. On the “Specify Configuration Database Server” page, enter the name of the server that is running SQL Server and click on Next (refer Fig. 3: Database Server screen)

  15. 6. On the “Specify SSRS Instance Name” page, select the Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services instance and then click on Next (refer Fig. 4: SSRS Instance Name screen)

  19. 7. Select whether you want to use Microsoft Update for checking for updates for your Microsoft products and then click on Next.
  20. 8. On the “Select Installation Location” page, the user can choose the default location or enter a different location and click on Next (refer Fig. 5: Installation Location screen).

  24. 9. On the “System Checks” page, this page display the summary of all the requirements and recommendations for a successful installation.
  25. 10. Now the setup is ready to install Microsoft Dynamics CRM (refer Fig. 6: Ready to Install screen)

  29. 11. After the Reporting Extensions setup is finished installing files, click Finish (refer Fig. 7: Finished Installing screen)
